Residing in LA, April Bowlby lived in Manteca, California in her childhood. There, she attended the East Union High School and also pursued Ballet and French at Moorpark College. After deciding to take up a career in acting, she learned the ropes of drama with the likes of Ivana Chubbuck. Within a few months of her Hollywood audition that Bowlby bagged the role of Kimber/Kandi in Two and a Half Men. She has also made appearances in many TV series including CSI (as “Kaitlin Rackish” in 04), CSI: NY (as “Jenny Lee” in 05), Freddie (as “Sydney” in 05), Stacked (as “Jasmine” in 05) and How I Met Your Mother (as “Meg” in 07).

In 2007, Bowlby appeared in a movie, All Roads Lead Home as Natasha. The movie was about a girl who loses her mother in an automobile accident.

Bowlby’s recent venture is the 2008 comedy movie as Mia in The Slammin’ Salmon. Lifetime Network has also picked up her pilot, Drop Dead Diva. She has also appeared in the US adaptation of Kath and Kim where she played “Stripper”

Two and a Half Men

April features in the third and fourth season of the famous comedy series, Two and a Half Men. First she comes up as Kimber, but is known as Kandi throughout. She is beautiful and young but not at all brilliant. Even as she first goes out with Charlie, soon Alan and she hook up. Both have a lustful relationship only meant for sex but in Las Vegas, upon winning a huge cash amount of half million dollars they get married. Kandi dries up this cash in just four months and this causes separation of the couple.
