Many of us must be aware of the image that Charlie Sheen had managed to carve out for himself over the years.
What we often miss out in such junkie-tales is the amount of recklessness and the impulsiveness, a user or a former user comes naturally packed with.
Popped-up on the substance of their choice, such characters mostly portray fearlessness and the willingness to live on the edge and live each and every second to the fullest. These traits set them apart from the sober crowd that often misses the same antics, when they are not around anymore.
Same is the case with Charlie Sheen on the sets of this famous American TV sitcom that had to nearly amend its plot to allow for Sheen’s sudden exit. The actor needed immediate rehabilitation and hence, had to be pulled out of the show with Ashton Kutcher as his replacement.
At the Screen Actors Guild Awards this year, Jon Cyrer, the actor who plays the role of Alan Harper on the show came out with his feelings on the show post-Sheen.
A download of the popular sitcom Two and a Half Men is bound to reflect on Kutcher’s spirit as he tries his best to do enough justice to his role.
So on screen, Ashton Kutcher does not let the audience miss Sheen much, but as Cyrer reveals, it’s on the sets that one is able to feel the Sheen’s absence more acutely.
With Charlie not being there anymore, the shoot-sessions have been robbed off their suspense. Back then, you’d never know if Sheen would turn up, but now Kutcher is always present at the sets in ahead of Cyrer.
Plus, there isn’t anybody trying to push his vehicle off a cliff on the sets anymore…In short, Cyrer misses the element of insanity that Sheen brought to the sets, and points it out as one of the major differences felt in the post-Sheen era of the sitcom.
